Make Your Own Textured Triangular Shawl with Sequence Knitting (Cecelia Campochiaro)

What You Will Learn: 

Use Sequence Knitting to create beautiful and wearable triangular shawls. You'll expand what you've learned about Sequence Knitting as you delve into a specific pattern. In this workshop, you will learn about triangles in general and also cast on your own shawl with a pattern provided in class.

Specific Topics Include:

  • Concept of sequence knitting and the shaped 1-row method
  • How to read sequence knitting instructions
  • Different shawl shapes
  • Reading charts for shaped 1-row patterns and making "cheat sheets"
  • Keys to getting great results


Suitable for advanced beginners through very experienced knitters. You should be able to independently knit, purl, cast on, and bind off. 

You should be familiar with Sequence Knitting concepts (see Introduction to Sequence Knitting for pre-requisite skills). Consider attending both classes on the same day!


  • 1 ball of smooth yarn for swatching and appropriately sized needles
  • Yarn for the shawl: 800 yds fingering/sport in a solid or semi-solid. Please use yarn from the shop for this workshop.  You will receive a one-time 10% discount on yarn purchased for the class.
  • The pattern will be provided in class and more details will be provided after you register.
  • Appropriately sized needles (pattern calls for US 3 circular needles)
  • A pen or pencil for note-taking

Instructor: Cecelia Campochiaro
Instructor Bio: Cecelia Campochiaro grew up in a family of artists and has been knitting since she was 12. Her professional work is to develop finely calibrated machines that inspect computer chips, which requires precision on par with counting a gauge swatch.
